This 2020, we're seeing some makeup artists and makeup lovers take a step back from the full glam, wild colors, and chiseled contours and opt for the more subtle end of the beauty spectrum.
More and more ladies are going for sheerer foundations, muted blushes, and unkempt brows.
Their pores, bumps, and discolorations peek ever-so-slightly through the foundation giving it a skin-like and breathable look.
With such minimal and barely-noticeable makeup, one would think that the look is quite easy to achieve but there's a surprising amount of finesse that goes into it.
Celebrity makeup artist and YouTube beauty icon Lisa Eldridge shared how she does her ultimate "secret" makeup look.
For foundation, Lisa suggests products that could be sheered and blended out with fingers for a seamless finish. After applying a thin layer, she uses a clean foundation brush or damp sponge to remove the excess foundation.
When it comes to her redness or acne, she picks up a tiny bit of cream concealer on a tiny pencil brush and applies it to areas that need a bit of coverage. Once more, Lisa goes back in with her foundation brush, damp sponge, or finger to further blend everything together.
Lisa also prefers to use creams or liquids for the blush, highlighter, and eyeshadow as it sinks into the skin better.
